Simply by being in your presence, non-Christians ought to be able to tell that you have spent time in God’s presence.

In Acts 4, Peter and John were brought to the rulers and elders of the people (v. to be questioned by them. But when Peter and John came to those people, who were Jews, they were astonished [by Peter and John] and they took note that these men had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). In other words, the Jews could tell that Peter and John had spent time with Jesus simply by the way they lived.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up.
All day long, he attacks and oppresses me. 2 My enemies want to swallow me up all day long,
for they are many who fight proudly against me. 3 When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you. 4 In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? 5 All day long they twist my words.
All their thoughts are against me for evil. 6 They conspire and lurk,
watching my steps, they are eager to take my life. 7 Shall they escape by iniquity?
In anger cast down the peoples, God.

8 You number my wanderings.
You put my tears into your bottle.
Aren’t they in your book? 9 Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call.
I know this, that God is for me. 10 In God, I will praise his word.
In Yahweh, I will praise his word. 11 I have put my trust in God.
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? 12 Your vows are on me, God.
I will give thank offerings to you. 13 For you have delivered my soul from death,
and prevented my feet from falling,
that I may walk before God in the light of the living.

Hear my voice, God, in my complaint.
Preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil; 3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
and aim their arrows, deadly words, 4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes.
They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly. 5 They encourage themselves in evil plans.
They talk about laying snares secretly.
They say, “Who will see them?” 6 They plot injustice, saying, “We have made a perfect plan!”
Surely man’s mind and heart are cunning.

7 But God will shoot at them.
They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow. 8 Their own tongues shall ruin them.
All who see them will shake their heads. 9 All mankind shall be afraid.
They shall declare the work of God,
and shall wisely ponder what he has done. 10 The righteous shall be glad in Yahweh,
and shall take refuge in him.
